4. You should also let your eyes rest by looking away from the specimen that you are observing through the eyepiece. A headset is advisable in order for you to wedge it between your shoulder and your ears. You should also keep objects you need at arm’s length so you do not have to over-extend your arm. Document holders prevent you from craning your neck too. These little things can help you lessen the strain.
